Extra Credit- Reading A- Holy Land
Wow, I had to really focus on this reading as I was going through it, to keep up with the amount of information. It reminded me of how I felt when I began to read the bible unit on the UnTextbook. The material is just so dense with information and names of people and places, it's so easy to get turned around. I will say, however, that I am really glad that in four short weeks I have gotten to read both introductions to two different religious texts. I can honestly say that that's more than I have done in a really long time. Not only that, but it allowed me to see the parallels between the two (and I say that as a mere observation, not to get political or anything). It was so interesting to see a different creation of Adam, in the passage Our Father Adam. It had many similarities to the one I read in the King James Version, but of course with it's own style that made it unique.

Hi Adriana,
ReplyDeleteFirst of all this is my first time on your blog and it is quite elegant, nice job.
I am planning to read this unit this week and am looking forward to it. I read some of the Jewish Fairytales last week and am quite familiar with the Old Testament, so it will be interesting to compare, like you mentioned.
