Week 8 Comments and Feedback
How do I feel about the feedback system? Let me break it down into the sections that they were asked in..
Feedback/Comments out: At first, if I am being completely honest, I thought that the commenting and feedback system was quite awkward. I felt like, 'who am I to be leaving advice and criticism on people's blog, when I don't even know what I'm doing?' But quickly I came to realize that it wasn't that bad. When you read through someone's story, it just takes one thing to catch your eye, and you can easily write a comment about it. Many times, I will see things on other people's blog that I really like, and when I stumble across a blog that doesn't have it, I will usually project that idea forward.
Feedback/Comments in: feedback in I will say is a little different. The feedback left on my storybook can be suuuuper helpful. A lot of times people will leave questions on the comment wall that I had previously marked as 'need to fix', so it helps reinforce things that I need to fix. Comments on just regular stories tend to get repetitive (I'm guilty of it too) but many of them will say the same thing, usually just positive comments!
Blog Comments: I will say that it is cool to get taken back to blogs that you have been to before via the randomizer, and getting to see how their blog has progressed. I think it will be especially cool as all of our storybooks develop, getting to see how they all grow.
I thought this image was something that has been really relevant this semester, which is embracing the unknown. As the case may be for many seniors, a lot of things are up in the air. The state of not knowing can drive someone crazy, but we have to learn to accept where we are in the present moment, and come to peace with it, before we can move on to the next thing.
