Reading Notes- Aesop's Fables
I am really glad that the Fable portion was towards the end of the reading list, because the second I saw it, all the other readings flew out of my mind. I have been a fan of Aesop's fables since I was first introduced to it in middle school, and it has been a long time since I last read some. Not only are the stories the most precious thing to read, but the meaning's at the end will just rock your world. Maybe now that I'm older and those meanings mean a little more to me now than they did in middle school, but they never fail to make me stop in amazement. Many times in fable's, you do not see the bigger picture of the story until it is revealed at the end, for example in Androcles and the Lion, the story just kind of unravels until it drops the moral on you, Gratitude is the Sign of Noble Souls. Maybe it's just me, but I live for daily virtue reminders. The types of reminders that make you stop your day and just reevaluate everything. I personally did not enjoy The Supernatural, as I have never been good with legends that I could not see the beginning or end points of the story.
